Women in Technology Spotlight: Teresa Holger
By: Claire Sauer
Technology continuously evolves and changes the ways in which we live, work, and play. Our team members at ZeroDay Technology Solutions are dedicated to bringing our customers turn-key IT solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of the world we live in. Teresa Holger, Inside Sales Executive, is a proud member of the ZeroDay team with an unwavering passion for technology and exceeding customer expectations.
Teresa started at ZeroDay at the beginning of 2020 and has fully embraced the culture and the work she is doing. She feels empowered in many ways, especially through ZeroDay’s steadfast focus on providing “customer delight” to their partners. Leadership and management trust her to offer support to customers while listening to her ideas and feedback. Her goals are clear, and she has access to all the data she needs which motivates her to not only meet but exceed her goals. Finally, she feels empowered through our cultural pillars, specifically KeeleyU and #KeeleyCares. She has countless opportunities to grow her career and give back to her community.
“I am a Keeley’n for life. I love that I am empowered to exceed expectations.”
Teresa was inspired to join the technology industry by her father who works as a Computer Programmer. When she was first learning the ropes, he would sit down and help her and have fun teaching her the ins and outs of technology. They still collaborate to this day and Teresa finds it exciting to navigate the changing industry with him right by her side. Outside of that, she loves that she is part of an industry that can influence the way the world works. Her job is very collaborative in nature which allows her to meet new people, share ideas, and build strong, long-lasting partnerships and friendships. The technology industry is a male-dominated industry, but this hasn’t slowed Teresa down. She quickly realized that being a strong, confident woman among men is a powerful place to be. Teams need different skillsets to be successful and Teresa and the ZeroDay team know that she brings incredible value. If she could give one piece of advice to a young female starting out in the industry it would be:
“Don’t get discouraged and trust your judgment. You don’t have to be the smartest, but always be the most prepared. Learn and develop hard skills to become a subject matter expert. Nothing can stop you.”
Since beginning her career, Teresa has learned a lot of lessons, but she will say that the most valuable lesson she has learned is that technology takes patience. This patience has gotten her where she is today and will get her where she wants to go. Teresa has a clear vision for the future, and she is excited to continue to provide exceptional service to our partners, inspire her fellow team members, and take advantage of the sources of growth and learning provided by KeeleyU.
“When I joined the ZeroDay team, people told me the values were important, but SACRIFICE is a way of life here at Keeley Companies. Our company mission, core values, and culture are so amazing. I have learned so much more than I ever could have imagined. I firmly believe in our company’s core values and live them out daily. I genuinely love working at ZeroDay because I am surrounded by people who work with passion and dedication. I am given challenges by my superiors to grow professionally and personally and leadership has created a space for me to become my best self”
Teresa, thank you for your passion and dedication to ZeroDay and to our culture. We can’t wait to see you continue to thrive and provide world-class service to our partners!
